The Tutor, Alice Troughton’s highly anticipated feature debut, has been picked up by Bleecker Street for US distribution.

The film stars Richard E. Grant, Julie Delpy and Daryl McCormack, with principal photography commencing in June in Hamburg, Germany.

The film is supported by the BFI Global Screen Fund, and MOIN, the Hamburg regional film fund.

THAT'S A WRAP ON "MISS"

Written and directed by Drew Pautz, produced by Katie Hodgkin and executive produced by Cassandra Sigsgaard and James Levison, the Creative England funded “MISS” wrapped on Friday. Drew is an award winning Canadian screenwriter, director and playwright with recent writing commissions including an adaptation of Dave Zeltserman’s novel "THE CARETAKER OF LORNE FIELD" for Amaro Films and John Harding’s novel "FLORENCE AND GILES" for director Julian Jarrold. MISS is Drew’s 3rd short film as a director following the award winning Film London short "HOLLOW ROAD" starring Alice Lowe and Jack Roth.

It stars Olivier nominated actress Rosalie Craig ("THE LIGHT PRINCESS"), Adam James ("A LITTLE CHAOS", "DOCTOR FOSTER") and introduces Jack Kane.  Post production is in full swing.  Come back for more updates here soon!

CASSANDRA SIGSGAARD GETS THE 2016 WOMEN IN FILM AND TV AWARDS OFF TO A GREAT START

Cassandra Sigsgaard, Chair of Women in Film and Television (WFTV), gave the opening speech at the WFTV Awards luncheon last Friday.  The Awards luncheon was attended by 1000 industry guests, and winners included Suffragette director Sarah Gavron, casting director Nina Gold, with the Lifetime Achievement award going to Beryl Virtue.  The full list of winners can be seen here.
